EARLY DOUGH BOWL & GROUP Of BEST PRIMITIVE TREEN PIECES
The dough bowl measures an 12" x 13". Though the great attic surface really looks like a good old worn whitewash, it may just be an amazing patina. That subject is often speculative. Early turn rings are distinctive as is the lip! There is an old very tight hairline, mentioned for the sake of accuracy.
The early pestles measure 9 1/2",12" and 13 1/2". They are somewhat primitive, though utilitarian implements this early often are.
The dough scraper would date to the mid 19th century, was hand made and has a fabulous early form. It is believed to be maple and is in relatively good condition, with some bleeds, which is typical of maple wood. ($195)
