EARLY BLUE HOMESPUN PENNSYLVANIA RAG BALLS
Fabric throughout, they each measure approximately 11" in circumference. I have shown a close up, so you can best determine how they look. Strips of cloth made into rag balls were created to best preserve, for future use, leftover fabrics. They were then used for the making of braided and hooked rugs. Nowadays authentic old rag balls are not often found.
This early group was originally found in Berks County Pennsylvania and have been in my collection for several years. ($95)
